What we were asked to do? How did you find each stage of the process?
-Our preliminary task involved each of our group filming someone in our group walking through a door into a room, then saying some dialogue to another person already in the room, and then the same person leaving the room. I found each of these stages easy to do after i had been taught all the camera angles and how to use the camera and sound equipment properly.
Write 3 things you learnt during the preliminary task:
- I learnt how to track somebody leaving a room or walking away without getting too much camera shake on the actual film, i learnt which camera angles were needed to look good with the right shot and also i learnt how to use the sound equipment to the best effect.
List three things that went well:
- The three things that i think went well was we got all the shots we needed in order to create our preliminary task, the dialogue was the right volume and we were able to pick the sound up easily and also editing all the shots together at the end all went to plan.
List three things you think could have been improved:
- I think we could of improved our task by taking more time in the filming and making sure everything was to the best of our abilities, also making sure we didn't get any equipment in our shots, and also listening more before we started so we could of got the editing done quicker.
Has the preliminary task given you any ideas for your 2 minute film opening? if so, what?
- i think it has given me some ideas about the types of shots we could use and how to get the emotion into the shots.
