Storyboard

We have chosen the shots we have because:

• Extreme long shot/establishing shot – to introduce the characters, and to show who the main protagonists are going to be and also the location of where the film opening is going to be set
• Shot reverse shot – to show the expressions on each of the protagonists faces when they are about to break the news to each other and it can see the reactions on each others faces after the other person has said something.
• Extreme close up – of the hands separating before Hayley leaves the park, and this shows the intimacy between the main protagonists
• Long shot – this is to show how lonely Tom is once Hayley has walked away and the audience are left thinking what is he going to do now?

We have chosen these shots because the close ups’ and extreme close up’s show the emotions on the faces of the characters, and can set the mood of the film and because it wouldn’t be appropriate if we used a long shot because you couldn’t see the emotions properly.
