BBFC

BBFC: This stands for the British Board Of Film Classification is an independent, non-governmental body funded through the fees it charges to those who submit films and video works for classification. Things that are taken into consideration are:
  • Discrimination
  • Drugs
  • Horror
  • Imitable behaviour
  • Language
  • Nudity
  • Sex
  • Violence
Central to all of the above is the context in which they are presented.

Some films that have been recently cut/banned are Human Centipede 2 and Grotesque as they were showing too much sexual torture and sexual violence and potential obscenity.
